If you are having trouble with the idea of vegetarianism or dieting - this may just be the "oomphf" that you need to get there! Overconsumption and it's results

We all technically "know" how animals are kept and treated these days in order for the food to get to the grocery store.  But to see it - that is huge!  I have been flirting with vegetarianism and have already changed my diet to mostly raw food, no prepackaged food, and being very selective about what I will eat out.  But how we can condone treating our fellow creatures like this...I don't know.  No wonder we have so many problems as a species!  This is a hard video to take but worth the watch, especially if you are still in the dark about what our food choices are doing to the planet.  I wouldn't suggest you watch it after a big meal though....

I am sorry to say that BIG BROTHER is watching my video selection or was and has removed it.
It was about the cruelty we practice toward animals, whose bodies we consume as food.  Our modern society has us so removed from the killing that is taking place and the unreasonable conditions that our "food" is raised under that we never stop and think of what the real price is for our next meal.  It also made the point that it is not affordable in the long run and not sustainable.  I agree.  We need to stop buying grass seed and round up and investing in gas guzzling lawn mowers and trimmers and start investing in gardening equipments and vegetable and fruit seeds.  We need to re-examine the laws for towns and cities with regard to keeping some chickens or rabbits for food.  We are heading for more problems in the near future and we need to get active.
